AVAILABILITY + BOOKING

WHAT IS INNOVATION HALL? WHAT DOES MY EVENT SUPPORT?

Innovation Hall is a mission-driven, not-for-profit, civic innovation center. Our mission is to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. Hosting your event at Innovation Hall allows us to fulfill our mission by discounting space rentals, operating our Civic Lounge, and running free, public programming for the innovation community. HOW CAN I CHECK AVAILABILITY FOR A PARTICULAR DATE?

Submit an event request and our event coordinator will get back to you as soon as possible with availability!

CAN I PLACE A SOFT HOLD ON THE SPACE? HOW LONG CAN I HOLD THE SPACE?

In order to place a soft hold on the space, please submit an event request. Our event coordinator will get back to you as soon as possible with a quote. Spaces are not confirmed until we have received a signed contract and full payment.

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS?

Yes. We consider all discount requests on a case-by-case basis based on the following criteria:

  • Event mission: Events and gatherings that help make connections, grow new ideas, and build an inclusive and supportive innovation community.
  • Organization type: We like to support community and innovation focused organizations (non-profits, startups, etc.)
  • Free for attendees: Events that do not charge attendees for access
  • Public: Events that are open to the public at large and can be listed on Innovation Hall’s public calendar
  • Cortex tenants and Venture Cafe St. Louis sponsors

Please note that we always send clients a full quote. If you are interested in being considered for a discount, please let us know when you receive your quote.

EVENT LOGISTICS + TECHNOLOGY

IS YOUR SPACE ACCESSIBLE?

Innovation Hall is on the first floor of a multi-story building that is fully accessible and ADA compliant building with easy access on St. Louis’ MetroLink.

We have two entrances. The western entrance is directly accessible from the South Sarah Street parking lot while the eastern facing entrance is accessible from Innovation Plaza which connects to the MetroLink platform at Cortex station. Each has wide double doors with automatic openers.

WHAT FURNITURE IS INCLUDED IN MY RENTAL?

Each space includes different furniture:

Pods: Integrated power work tables, rolling chairs, presentation station

Assembly: Stackable chairs

Civic Lounge: Integrated power work tables, stationary and rolling chairs, wooden high top table with high chairs, various soft seating.

DO YOU HAVE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON THE SPACE?

Our events coordinator will be able to give you more information about our spaces and hosting your event with us, but some of our more frequently asked questions regarding restrictions are answered below:

  • No smoking
  • No open flames or pyrotechnics
  • No fog-producing equipment
  • No confetti, glitter, or helium balloons
  • No permanent markers of any kind
  • No holes may be made in the walls
  • Only painter’s tape may be used to attach items to the wall

WHAT TECHNOLOGY + SUPPLIES ARE INCLUDED IN THE SPACE?

Each space is equipped with:

  • Free WiFi
  • Lectern (Assembly only)
  • Flat panel TVs or interactive screens
  • Video conferencing with integrated speakers
  • VOIP phone calling
  • USB/HDMI inputs enable usage of platforms like GoToMeeting, Skype, and Zoom.
  • Dry-erase markers to use on IdeaPaint walls
  • Touch screen control for lights and sound
  • 4 handheld wireless microphones available to reserve (Assembly only)

WHAT ARE THE A/V CAPABILITIES OF YOUR SPACE?

All projectors can be connected via HDMI or VGA inputs. If you have additional A/V needs, such as recording, lavalier mics, uplighting, etc., please bring your own or we are happy to connect you to ITC, our preferred A/V vendor.

WHAT TECHNOLOGY + SUPPLIES SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

Please bring your own:

  • Laptop or presentation device to plug into our projectors
  • Chargers for any devices you bring
  • Slide advancers
  • HDMI/VGA adaptors for your computer if you require one
  • Flip charts, sticky notes, notebooks, and writing utensils

Please note that painter’s tape must be used when attaching anything to the wall, and we do not permit any type of permanent markers in the space.

DO YOU HAVE PRINTING SERVICES?

We do not offer printing services on site (go green!). The closest printing services are located at Park Avenue Coffee in the @4240 at 4240 Duncan Ave (view map).

I AM INTERESTED IN BOOKING A MULTI-DAY EVENT? CAN I LEAVE THE ROOM AS-IS OVERNIGHT?

Yes, for an additional overnight fee.


VENDORS

DO YOU HAVE A PREFERRED CATERER?

We have an exclusive catering partnership with 23 City Blocks Catering, who operate our onsite restaurant and cafe, The Chocolate Pig and The Market. Their food and beverage license covers the entire space, which means that we can set up food and drink options anywhere in the space! We do not permit outside catering.

DO YOU HAVE A PREFERRED FURNITURE RENTAL VENDOR?

Premier Event Rentals is our preferred furniture vendor. We are happy to help coordinate furniture rentals for your event.

DO YOU HAVE A PREFERRED A/V VENDOR?

ITC is our preferred A/V vendor, but we are happy to accommodate other vendors and help coordinate A/V rentals for your event.

DO YOU HAVE PARKING?

Innovation Hall does not have a private parking lot but the following options:

Public Transportation: We are accessible via public transportation. Innovation Hall is closest to the Cortex MetroLink station.

Cars: Paid hourly parking is available on the South Sarah Street lot. Access the lot via Sarah Street south of Duncan Avenue. Metered street parking is available along Sarah Street, Duncan Avenue and Boyle Avenue.

Bicycles: Bike racks are available on Innovation Plaza, the pedestrian walkway between @4240 and 4220 Duncan.
